ACK Participated in the China 3rd Annual Cement Industry Environmental Protection and Comprehensive Utilization of Resources Summit

On August 5, 2014, ACK participated in the China 3rd Annual Cement Industry Environmental Protection and Comprehensive Utilization of Resources Summit held in Liyang, Jiangsu Province. Personnel from the Ministry of Environmental Protection, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the Ministry of Construction, relevant cement enterprises and experts from scientific research and design units attended the conference.

Focusing on the theme of "Promoting Co-processing and Building Ecological Civilization", the conference discussed and exchanged issues such as environmental protection, policies, standards and regulations, technical achievements and practical experience, as well as comprehensive utilization of resources in the municipal solid waste disposal via cement kiln. The conference was highly valued by relevant national competent departments. Mr. Lei Wen, deputy director of Comprehensive Resource Utilization Section of Energy Conservation Department of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, attended the conference and gave the speech. At present, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology is cooperating with the National Development and Reform Commission, the Ministry of Environmental Protection and other relevant departments to actively promote the pilot work of municipal solid waste disposal via cement kiln, launch a pilot on the enterprises that have been completed and operated and the projects under construction, and speed up the promotion of municipal solid waste disposal via cement kiln. Relevant cement enterprises introduced the experience of municipal solid waste disposal via cement kiln and hoped that relevant technical specifications, determination methods and subsidy policies would be improved and improved as soon as possible.

On August 6th, ACK staff together with the person in charge of the scientific research institute, visited Liyang municipal solid waste disposal via cement kiln plant and discussed its technology.

The conference provided a platform for domestic and foreign counterparts to exchange technologies for municipal solid waste disposal via cement kiln and played a positive role in promoting the development of environmental technology in the cement industry.
